A coal fired power station that operated between 1956 and 1986. Once considered the largest in the state, the plant supplied electricity to New South Wales. Positioned on Lake Macquarie at Wangi Wangi, the power station was officially opened on 7 November 1958 after ten years of construction. This old farm house was located far west of Melbourne in the middle of a tiny community.
