Located in the mountains just outside of Kirishima (almost the very southern tip of Kyushu), this dilapidated former hotel sits hidden at the end of a dead, overgrown road.    Some  original furnishings and bits and pieces are still scattered in the hallways and derelict guest rooms, but mostly, this building is a long forgotten empty shell.

 

I found bed side tables, lanterns, tatami mats and telephones lying in its dark passageways and occasionally, the howling wind would blow a piece of rubbish down the halls like tumble weeds.  

 

The basement level had been burnt out and all this awesome greenery had started crawling back inside,
